Bebo Records (bee-boh reh-krdz) is an independent record label founded in 2020 by artist and producer 8lak3_.

Known for its innovative approach to music production and promotion, the label has grown into a collective of diverse artists pushing the boundaries of musical expression. Bebo Records serves as a platform for emerging talent, fostering a creative environment where artists can experiment freely.

The label’s roster includes producers and artists such as Pamperson, Aranamor, Akrious, Another.Indie.August, TaniRift, 877, microsoftgolf, and UglyLongSleeves. Together, they contribute to a range of genres, including breakbeat, vaporwave, lo-fi, and experimental hip-hop.

2020: Founding and Early Releases   [edit source]

Bebo Records began in May 2020, initially as a SoundCloud account dedicated to meme edits and reuploads.


The label’s first original release was “I Miss The Old Zuko”, a parody of Kanye West’s “I Love Kanye" followed by the first Christmas EP “Chris” on December 26, 2020.

2021: House Music, Arana Album, Anyways, Mas   [edit source]

Bebo Records started experimenting with sound collage and sampling, leading to their next 4 releases:

  • House Music” (February 28) – An EP compiling sound effects from ENA, Windows 95, Vine edits, Minecraft, and Five Nights at Freddy’s, accompanied by visual-based music videos.
  • Arana Album” (April 20) – A comedy driven, sample-heavy project dedicated to label affiliate Aranamor, featuring references to Among Us, Halo, Minecraft, and his dog Mop.

  • Mas” (December 13) – A Christmas-themed release, blending classic covers with experimental compositions, including “Last Gripsmas,” a mashup of Wham!’s Last Christmas and Death GripsGet Got.

  • 2022: Return to Rap and Unreleased “Spectrum” Project   [edit source]

    On May 11, 2022, Pamperson and TaniRift released the controversial song "FUCK THE FAGS," inspiring 8lak3_ to return to rapping and production. This led to the creation of “FUCK YOU”, followed by a feature on “FUCK THE FAGS PT. 2” (August 4).

    Spectrum (Unreleased): Throughout 2022, 8lak3_ released multiple SoundCloud singles—"all that lives will die", "blam", "Tropical Restaurant", and "Out Of Your Head"—intended for a 'thrown away' project called Spectrum. Some tracks later appeared on “Seasons Greetings: 8lak3_'s Worst” (October 2).

    The third of 8lak3_'s Christmas releases, "Merry," (December 19), was criticized for its minimal effort. The release included a collaboration with TaniRift.


    2023: Expansion, Burned Disks, Deported Features, (B:), (G:) SERENE, Lofi 2 Smoke 2   [edit source]

    Bebo Records expanded significantly in 2023, welcoming new artists and refining its sound:

  • Burned Disks” (February 14) – A mixtape featuring Pamperson and TaniRift, including “The ABC Song”, which appeared on Pamperson’s self titled and debut album.
  • "Echoes of a Lost Chorus," an instrumental from the album, became the label's first solo release on Spotify.
  • Deported Features” (April 16) – A compilation of non-sampled rap tracks featuring TaniRift, Akrious, and Pamperson.
  • TaniRift officially joined the label in May following the release of “hel na/” and the re-release of “Discord Drama”.

  • The next 2 releases from 8lak3_ both devolved into Breakbeat and Breakcore.
    "(B:)" – A breakbeat album dedicated to a corrupted 2TB drive that held Bebo Records’ entire history. including music, photography, samples, and the Prince Zuko Archive.
    The album, being a first for the label, contains lots of breaks and samples including: MoistCritical, 17 Doctor Peppers Falling On The Floor Sound Effect, an ASMR video, Happy Feet 2, Crack Head's "Taxes" on the Spotify release only, and A clip of Pamperson, 8lak3_, and Prince Zuko in Minecraft.
    (G:) SERENE” – An underwater-themed EP featuring samples from Game Grumps and Prince Zuko.

    In October 2023, Bebo Records welcomed 877, Aranamor, and AnotherIndieAugust


    Lofi 2 Smoke 2” (November 4) – The label’s first lo-fi release, featuring a Still Woozy cover and an original 877 composition.


    2024: Golf focus and Serious Rap   [edit source]

    Drowning in 8 Lakes” (January 26) – 8lak3_’s second breakbeat album.

    microsoftgolf joined the label (March 29) with their debut album, “On Par with Reality”, a vaporwave/golf-inspired project mixing elements from Wii Sports and Microsoft Golf (1992).

    Everywhere, Always!” (April 20) – The owner’s and extended label’s first full rap album featuring all members and collaborations with UglyLongSleeves, Pamperson, Akrious, 877, AnotherIndieAugust, microsoftgolf, and lermarascon.

    "Adjust Your Grip on Reality” (July 24) – A vaporwave album by microsoftgolf, exploring water and poolside aesthetics. UglyLongSleeves and TaniRift both have features on the same beat but with their own respective songs.

    Simulated Back Nine” (October 18) – microsoftgolf’s third album, shifting towards a traditional vaporwave style with breakbeat influences.

    私を入れて” (November 23) – A 12-minute slushwave track sampling Dorian Electra.



    2025: Further Exploration into Lo-Fi   [edit source]

    Tiksi” (January 28) – A collaborative lo-fi album by 8lak3_ and 877, combining orchestral arrangements with sampled and chopped beats.

    Deaths   [edit source]

    On March 26, 2023, Crack Head was found unresponsive on the streets of Brazil by his brother Akrious, who called 911 but they didnt really care. Crack Head was pronouced dead at the scene at 4:57 a.m.


    Fans theorized that he had died by a crack overdose in since he could always be heard saying "This crack is good man". Although the socially accepted theory was that the tax collectors finally got him after his abuse and ignorence to federal taxes.

    Bebo Records has evolved from a SoundCloud meme account to a respected underground label, embracing rap, breakbeat, vaporwave, and lo-fi. With a growing roster and a commitment to artistic freedom, the label continues to push boundaries while building a dedicated following.
