History

2020: Soundcloud and Chris
[edit source]
In May 2020, Bebo Records was established by 8lak3_ with the launch of a SoundCloud account dedicated to posting meme edits of songs and reuploads.
Their first single was "I Miss The Old Zuko" (a parody of "I Love Kanye" by Kanye West) released September 20th. This was followed by the release of "Chris" on December 26th, marking the label's first extended play (EP).
2021: House Music, Arana Album, Anyways, Mas
[edit source]
The next release dropped February 28th. House Music is an EP which compiles sound effects, primarily from, ENA, Windows 95, Vine edits, Minecraft, Five Nights at Freddys, and many more. This release led to multiple music videos with visuals of each sound effect that would play.
On April 20th of the same year, Arana Album was uploaded. The contents of the release can be compared to the production of House Music, except for each track being tailored to Bebo Records affiliate, Aranamor. The jokes throughout the album consist of: being a mute, video game Among Us and Halo, Minecraft server BRAINDEAD, and his dog Mop.
October 17th saw the release of anyways, an EP consisting of a cover song, Aranamor 'inspired' songs, a rap battle, and a country song.
The label continued its tradition of releasing Christmas-themed music with "Mas" on December 13th. This release featured covers of Christmas classics and original compositions, including a mashup of "Last Christmas" by Wham! and "Get Got" by Death Grips, "Last Gripsmas"
2022: Pamperson, "Spectrum" and Merry
[edit source]
In 2022, Bebo Records embarked on a new direction. On May 11th, Pamperson and TaniRift released "FUCK THE FAGS," inspiring 8lak3_ to return to rapping and music production. This led to the creation of a parody song titled "FUCK YOU" uploaded by 8lak3_ and their first feature with Pamperson was on "FUCK THE FAGS PT. 2" releasing August 4th of that year. 8lak3_ has featured on 24 Pamperson tracks as of "The After Life"
Throughout the year, 8lak3_ released multiple singles on SoundCloud, intended for a future, unreleased project titled "Spectrum." These included tracks like "all that lives will die," "blam," "Tropical Restaurant," and "Out Of Your Head." Most of these songs found their way onto the compilation album "Seasons Greetings: 8lak3_'s Worst," which was released on October 2nd and featured songs from all previous releases.
The third of 8lak3_'s Christmas releases, "Merry," was unveiled on December 19th. It featured multiple covers of Christmas songs and two original songs, one of which included a collaboration with TaniRift, this is considered by critics to be one of the laziest releases under the label.
2023: Burned Disks, Deported Features, (B:), (G:) SERENE, Lofi 2 Smoke 2
[edit source]
In 2023, Bebo Records continued its growth and diversification. The mixtape "Burned Disks," released on February 14th, featured collaborations with Pamperson and TaniRift, including the track "The ABC Song," which was also included on Pamperson's debut album, "PAMPERSON." "Echoes of a Lost Chorus," an instrumental from the album, became the label's first solo release on Spotify.
On April 16th, a compilation of songs from "Burned Disks" and "Merry" was released under the title "Deported Features." This contained features from TaniRift, Akrious, and Pamperson, This compilation aimed to provide rap songs on Spotify that did not contain samples, a departure from the label's previous releases.
In May 2023, TaniRift became the first member of Bebo Records, following the release of their collaborative single "hel na/," and her single "Discord Drama" was subsequently re-released under the label.
The next 2 releases from 8lak3_ both devolved into Breakbeat and Breakcore. "(B:)" was created as a sort of 'tribute' to a corrupted 2TB drive that had stored all of Bebo Records' history up until this point including music, photography, samples, and the Prince Zuko Archive.
The album contains lots of breaks and samples including,
"(G:) SERENE" was the next Breakbeat release from 8lak3_, with an overall feeling of scuba diving and an underwater essence. Sampling on this EP includes 'Game Grumps' on Bandcamp and Prince Zuko on Spotify on the track 'DCIM'
In October, Bebo Records expanded even more by welcoming new talents and gaining amazing composer, "877", bug collector, "Aranamor", and hot hottie mc hot, AnotherIndieAugust"
